Kay Verdant isn't your typical high school sophomore. She attends Henderson High School, a school for spies, and together with her older brother Roy and best friend Scarlet, she carries out her dangerous missions flawlessly.

When an underground tycoon threatens one of the world's most precious cities, Kay finds herself having to trust a new and mysterious ally. She soon learns that the line between herself and the other side of the law, isn't always so clear.

Bio

A native of The Rio Grande Valley in South Texas, Katelynn Renteria is a teen award-winning author with a deep passion for writing. Ranked as valedictorian of her graduating high school class, and a member of the National Honor Society, Katelynn is a true advocate for literacy and is the 2017 recipient of the Literary Classics Book Awards: Silver Award for the Middle School division for her first published novel.

 

She wrote her first manuscript at age 14 and published her first book, The Other Side of the Law, on June 13, 2016, which was featured as the Weekly Top Seller after its release from her publisher. She loves to visit South Texas campuses to give presentations advocating literacy, and motivates students to read. Katelynn is currently writing her second novel, the sequel to her first, and is now a self-published author. She has earned an Associate's Degree in Biology and is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.
